Is the GetOut Pass Worth It for DFW Families? Our Honest Take

Updated August 8, 2026

Mamas, if you do not have the GetOut Pass yet, here is my honest rundown, because we genuinely use ours and it changed how often we say yes to indoor attractions.

What it is

The GetOut Pass is a membership that gives you access to family attractions across DFW (and other regions if you travel). One pass per person, and each attraction sets how often you can visit, typically once or twice per month per venue. The DFW list covers trampoline parks, indoor play areas, and more.

Where we have actually used it

Those two alone, visited monthly, would cost more out of pocket than the pass does.

How to decide if it pays off

Do this math honestly:

  1. Count how many times a month you already pay for an indoor attraction (heat waves and rainy weeks count double)
  2. Price those visits for your number of kids
  3. Compare to the pass price for the same kids

If you are an every-week indoor-play family like us, it usually pays for itself within the first month or two, and the bigger change is psychological: once the pass exists, "can we go jump?" stops being a budget conversation.

The discount

Use code MOMLIFE10 at getout.com for a discount on your GetOut Pass. Full transparency: that is my creator code, and using it supports this site at no extra cost to you.

Mom tips

  • Check each venue's visit rules in the app before promising the kids anything
  • Some venues require socks (always pack socks) or a signed waiver, so do the waiver online before you arrive
  • Weekday mornings beat weekends at almost every pass venue
